This historic date is celebrated twice in Chamonix! It is celebrated on July 14th throughout France.

The first time was the night before, to correspond with the final of the Climbing Championships, and the second time was on the day itself. The night usually concludes with a remarkable firework display at Les Houches’ Lac des Chavants.
